Jane Caro - Thank goodness Australia was settled by convicts...

In this episode, I am thrilled to welcome back Jane Caro, a brilliant Australian author, feminist, renowned social commentator, staunch advocate for public education, broadcaster, and journalist. A year ago, on July 10, 2023, I had the privilege of speaking with Jane, and if you missed that conversation, I highly recommend giving it a listen.

Today, Jane discusses her concerns about the ongoing changes in public education and emphasizes the importance of free, secular, and universal education. She shares her views on religion in Australia and Australian education, and politics. Hear her express her worries about the strange happenings in the US, the dangers of theocracy, and the Trump cult effect. Wellbeing and taking care of yourself is also a topic Jane discusses as well as the pros and cons of social media. Jane also explains why she has decided not to enter politics again, choosing to focus on her writing instead, and she does know how to write. Jane shares about her new book set to be released in April 2025 and no doubt it will be a best seller.
