I am welcoming back to the podcast distinguished Swedish Skyttean Professor of Eloquence and Political Science Li Bennich-Björkman. (She was on the program May 2023).

A brief recap and background.

Li Bennich-Björkman was the first female professor in political science at Uppsala University here in Sweden and the first female holding the prestigious Skytte chair, which is the oldest professorship in political science in the world going back to 1622 (Skyttean Professor of Eloquence and Government). She has a passion for history and especially about the Baltic countries Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia.

In today's Sånt är livet i Sverige or That's life in Sweden!,  Li shares her thoughts about Academic Freedom, Freedom of Speech in Higher Education. She explains the equal rights being a PhD student here in Sweden to other academic staff. She also speaks of current concerns about Putin and Trump.
